| penny raffle was exhibited at TZ'Art in 1997 as part of the solo exhibition rayrapprayrapp. The artist exhibited his plexiglass cube penny collection. The penny cube was brought to the gallery and placed on the gallery flat files. Visitors to the gallery were asked to guess the number of pennies in the cube. The person with the closest guess to the actual number of pennies would win the pennies. Visitors wrote there guess, name and phone number on the pennyraffle pages in the binder. After the exhibition, the artist counted 11,614 pennies. Karen McCready won the raffle with a guess of 11,429. |
